1.5 hr east of Denver, CO

First match is posted below. It is a Border War Match on Aug 28th, 2021.

First match will be a very beginner fiendly field match with most stages being prone (ala Raton match) pending grass height.
10 stages. 6 Targets per stage. 1 shot per target.

1 shot per target.
some variance on shooting order and equipment allowed.

Really just a back to basics match with 3 stages of 10 not prone and only one off a prop (tank trap) other 2 are limited by elevation of terrain and grass and allow prone on the father shots.

Shots down range at 9 the latest. We will be shooting east so I wanted the sun to come up before we started shooting.
I anticipate we will be done shooting by 2 the latest. Its set up very similiar to raton with some stage twists and half the walking.
Eating and combing scores done by 3 if you want to stay.

Honestly...I dont think the beer will last till 8 lol.

Was a sweet match for anybody on the fence. I think somewhere between 40-50 showed up.

Not much bunching up, nice property. Challenging course of fire for such a windy day. Zero target failures that I'm aware of.

Zero drama of any kind. Whole table was random drawing so no incentive to game or cheat. Qdoba while waiting for the totals, it was a good time.

The drive is super easy it's highway for probably 1:24 of the 1:30 it takes to get there. Bring sunblock. Looking forward to more matches at same spot.

Shot the whole thing with a 26" barrel and 12" can, didn't hold me back, very much a field style match without the balance off the back of a toilet on one foot while shooting weak side in 35 seconds nutiness of the last few years.

6 targets, 7 rounds, nice little mind bender. Lot of guys just automatically followed up the first shot they missed. Not always the smart play in gusty winds on a small plate starting with a long shot.

Judicious use of the bonus round could move you up a few positions.

I didn't really get any good ones, kinda showed up and just shot the match for a change and didn't worry about keeping tabs on my score or taking photos/video or any of that.

Im more than a little surprised. My gratitude is full. I did NOT expect to reach my goal when I began this exercise of charity. Whether you believe in a higher power or not, there is no denying our natural born instinct of charity to help those in need (which for me is more proof of a higher power.)

Can we shoot this as 2 shooters, a regular bolt gun and a .223 carbine, just to practice for later team challenges, (running the regular match protocol, just as two individual shooters, one with a carbine) and we don't care about prizes, will buy gas for small dirt bikes.
