Did an impulse buy on a 700 heavy with the laminated stock. It is in 22-250 and I am not a fan of that ctg, but it was a good deal and I thought I could use the action for a .308 build. Like I said, I am not a big admirer of .22 centerfires, but that makes 2 of them I have bought in the last month- go figure.
Anyway, last night I took the gun apart to see what I had. It had a very neat bedding job and the trigger had been taken down to about 2#'s. I thought, "a man that likes to shoot had this rifle and it is shot out." Being hopeful, I loaded up some SMKs over the accuracy charge of RL 15 and took it to the range in 25* weather. It shoots under a half inch for three shots and about .75" for five.
I am one happy camper.
