I've seen a few guys on Gunbroker that have these.

It looks like a padded Cordura soft gun case that fits perfectly inside of the Pelican 1750 when the center layer of foam is removed.

I believe Bushmasters Bolt gun ships in one.

Anyways, I'm trying to find who makes them. It would be a great addition for deer season where I travel with my Bambi Blaster packed up in my Pelican on the airlines, and then use the soft case when moving around in vehicles back home.

Links or pointers?

Re: Pelican padded Cordura internal soft case?

Pelican now owns Storm/Hardigg. The only thing I've seen like you describe is the Hardigg FieldPak case which is designed to fit in the Storm hard case. The Storm cases are similar enough in size to the Pelican cases that it might still work. You might contact a Pelican/Storm distributor and ask if you can use the FieldPak for the Storm iM3300 in your Pelican 1750 (the two cases are within an inch in every direction of the same size).

You may find other cases that will work based on the interior dimensions of your case. I use a Storm iM3100, similar to Pelican 1700, and recently bought the "Eagle Drag Bag M4 Style Extra Large" and it fits perfectly in my case with all my stuff jammed in the pockets.

Looks like the Larue cases are for the 3100 case which is closer to the 1700. I'm looking for something that will fit the 1750.

I'll keep on looking...

No idea about this dealer but here is a link which has some information.

Makes me wish I had the i3300. I think the dimensions are off just enough to make it not fit in the 1750. Can anyone verify this? This looks like a great option.

The Eagle pack is too short, unfortunately. It is a 44 inch pack and my plinker is 48. I need a full length 50 inch model.

Thanks for all the help. I may just end up ordering a i3300 with the Hardigg field pack.

I did however find this:

and I am going to give it a shot first. If its a no-go, I may just end up ordering a i3300 with the Hardigg field pack.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Pelican padded Cordura internal soft case?

Well, I received my 5.11 case today.

It is the 50 inch model.

I swear, you would think this case was made for Pelican 1750. I mean it is perfect. My rifle is 49 inches OAL, and it fits perfectly in the 5.11 case, and the 5.11 fits perfectly in the Pelican.

I took out two layers of the padding, the one in the lid, and middle layer. The 5.11 comes with padding on all sides, to include the small height and width sides, on the interior of all the zippers. It also has four hook and loop fasteners that secure the rifle in the case. I'm really impressed for a 130 dollar soft case. Plus it fits in my Pelican.

Anyone looking to do put a soft sided rifle case inside of your Pelican 1750, I highly suggest looking at the 5.11 VTAC 50 inch gun case. I'll post pictures later.
