Custom .308 Remington 700 G prefix built by Brad Stair of Performance Guns out of West Haven, Utah. Brad is master gunsmith and currently builds many of the ELR (extreme long range) rifles that shooters are using to make record ELR shots with. Brad also builds custom rifles for LE/SWAT, which is what this gun is.
The barrel is a heavy contoured Pac-Nor and is 21.5" long measured to breech face. It's threaded 5/8x24 and has been turned down at the last few inches for a Surefire MB762SSAL/RE or an Elite Iron muzzle brake. You could either source this brake or have the barrel cut and re-threaded. Length post cut would be right at 19.5”.
EDIT: The rifle is currently at my smith with a GA Precision M40 and a Robar SR90 getting cut and threaded. My quote time is 4 weeks and I’ll update interested parties in order of conversation time when I get it back.
The gun sits in an Accuracy International 2.0 Folding Chassis $1300. Badger Ordnance Base $163, Jewell Trigger $215, Harris S-BRM bipod with Pod-Lock $150, Monopod BT08-QK $169, Badger Bolt Knob $39.
The G series action if you could find one (and you likely won't as they are old) is $600-800, and the price of a Pac-Nor Blank is over $400 with at least a 2 month wait.
Price of just the parts alone exceeds $3136 not including tax. This doesn't include gunsmithing fees including blueprint of action, chambering/reaming and fit of barrel to action, bedding of the rifle to the chassis and other build costs. This would easily be at least $1200 if not more.
This build would cost you over $4300 easily and most smiths lead time of this quality are 6 months-2 years.
This rifle is capable of .5 or less if you can do your part. Round count is in the 800-1000 range. I can shoot the rifle and provide test targets, just need a few days notice to do so. I live near Cincinnati, OH if you want to shoot it yourself.
Gun is used but in great shape. A few nicks in the camoflauge pattern, but overall very nice. Let me know if you want specific photos, I’ll be happy to oblige. Bolt operation is silky smooth and trigger is set to around 1.5lbs.
Price is $2500 OBO and I'll include a 5 round AI magazine with the gun. Scope and rings not included. Would rather trade to glass.
Might trade for a 1:7 twist .223 threaded barreled action or complete gun. A nice TL3 or even a nice built up 700 or similar. Preference to glass first unless it’s a really nice setup or a barreled action plus glass.
Also looking for a 300WM bolt gun, must be threaded.
I can add or take cash to make up differences.
Make me an offer, the worst I can say is no.
From my FFL to yours, or FTF within a reasonable distance to Cincinnati for OH residents.
I have tons of feedback on here, and will provide whatever verification you need to assure I’m not a Saudi prince. Feet pics, FaceTime, phone calls, etc… whatever you need.

Will trade for:
I really need higher end glass such as Schmidt & Bender, Steiner, Bushnell DMR2 Pro or DMR3, Leupold MK5 or MK6, Leica, Vortex Razor's, or other similar in quality. Glass must be FFP and Mil/Mil. No huge preference on mag range as I have several different guns that need glass. Specifically like the 3-18 MK5 (w/ 35mm rings) and MK6 and the Bushy DMR’s so preference to those, and an extra plus to two optic trades as I have a CZ 457 and a few other guns that need scopes.Might trade for a 1:7 twist .223 threaded barreled action or complete gun. A nice TL3 or even a nice built up 700 or similar. Preference to glass first unless it’s a really nice setup or a barreled action plus glass.
