Range Report Peterson 6.5x47 loaded ammo

Peterson brass is top quality and the 142 Sierra matchking is the gold standard of 6.5mm bullets. I am confident this ammunition will work very well at all reasonable distances.

@Gil P. you should call Peterson and give them the feedback. I've seen the log book they write down test figures in and SD's that high are not common for the loaded ammo and even the test ammo for brass lots.

Have guy reloaded for this bullet? I haven't, but it's easy to get 2850 fps from a 140 hybrid with a 26" barrel.

I only shoot 130 HVLD and 130 Hybrids and run 123CC for plinking and practice.
I have several powders I use with the 123CC that easily surpass 3000fps with zero pressure signs from a 24" 1-8 P5 Schnieder barrel.
I still need to do some testing with those powders with the 130 class bullets.

I use the heavier bullets from 147- 150 grain in the Creedmoor with a 7.5" twist but it shoots the 130 class bullets extremely well regardless.

I might be off base on this but I would think the 140hybrid has considerably less bearing surface than the 142smk considering it's Hybrid design and that would lend itself more friendly to a higher powder charge and more velocity with less pressure.
