I'm building at AR10 dpms platform. Been going back and fourth for about two months on a barrel, to the point where the rifle is complete other than the barrel.

So my question, I'm set on getting the barrel from precision firearms. I did a 20inch Hbar with a krieger blank that came to $770. Then I did one with a criterion blank that came out about $300 bucks cheaper. This might sound dumb. I'm a pretty good shot from prone and a bench. Probably cant hold a candle to anyone who shoots comps. But am I going to see a big difference in accuracy? I want it for target, deer and black bear. The krieger offers a .5moa accuracy guarantee as well. The criterion and bartlien do not. Thanks!

Ignore the accuracy guarantee, it’s total bullshit. Krueger s are great barrels. Criterion’s are great barrels. Bartlein is the best barrel.

Lol i know I should ignore the guarnetee, due to the many other variables in play, but holy shit, that's really standing behind the product. The bartlien is actually like 150 bucks cheaper. I always skimp out on somthing when I do a build and regret it later. I refise to do it with this one.

Bartlein makes the best barrels period (my opinion). I’ve stopped using any other brand on precision builds.

I doubt anything bad could be said about Bartlein, and Criterion too for that matter. @Frank Green is a treasure to the shooting community, and both of those companies do outstanding work. But I'd have to strongly disagree that Krieger, or James Lederer, or Brux, or Rock Creek, etc are inferior in any way. Kriegers put on just as strong of a showing in benchrest and F-Class as Bartleins do. A Lederer barrel set the 600 yard BR record. A Krieger set a 100yd Unlimited BR record recently...

Ive read months worth of things on all the mentioned barrels, unfortunatly ive never shot any of them other than a criterion, but I'm glad to see people saying that my two choices are some of the best. I'll be able to buy with confidence.

I bought a complete rifle from PF one time, and it’s a mistake I won’t make again. Waited an eternity to get it, and this was when times were good and supply was plentiful.

From what I'm seeing CLE has a krieger and bartlien way cheaper. They have a PF too. Matched with AP bcg. Other than the borrible wait time, how did it shoot?

It took so long to get I had bought another company’s product and had been shooting it for MONTHS. So I didn’t spend a ton of time with it on the range, and don’t have any notes. I remember not being overly impressed for the amount of money I spent or time I waited. For the record, this was a 6.5 Grendel.
