So I’m putting the final touches on a build and want to know what you guys think of which Picatinny Rail I should use on my Rem 700 LA. I have a Seekings 20moa on back order when I orderd my 34mm Rings but it won’t be ready till mid January. Should I wait or pick up something else? Are the differences that big when compared to the lower priced options? I don’t mind paying extra for quality but if it doesn’t make a difference in zero shift then I’d rather save money for more ammo.

Badger or Near for me. Pretty much it since I switched from Leupold twist off mounts about 10 years ago.
What is the use of the rifle? For PRS style matches and hard use go with what you feel is the best. For a range queen and normal use rifle go with what ever. My range rifle is also my match rifle and secondary hunting rifle. It's got badger steel base and rings. I have no doubt it will move.

And in the case of Badger Ordnance, sourced in America, made in the United States of America!

That too me is worth any additional cost.

Agreed!

Made in the United States of America!

Thanks for taking the time to learn a little bit about us. We are a small, family run business in beautiful Fallbrook, CA. Other than Murphy Precision, avocados are Fallbrook's most famous export. ☺ Coincidentally, avocados are how we got our start.

My father, John Murphy, has run Murphy's Welding for the last 34 years -- specializing in building food processing equipment for the local avocado and citrus packing industries. Now when time permits, he helps out with production, and represents Murphy Precision at local matches. He is also an avid long range competitor. If you are shooting at the NCSA Pala range, please say "Hi" if you run into him.

My name is Cameron Murphy, and I started Murphy Precision in 2001. Growing up, I learned a variety of fabrication and machining skills working for my father. After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCSD, I knew I needed to find a way to apply those skills in a creative, hands on manner.

Murphy Precision has given us a chance to combine the latest in manufacturing technologies, with time honored attention to detail and finish. Whether it's running our CNC Machining Center, Wire EDM Machine, or hand deburring parts, we know that at every step, quality is all that matters. In a world of poorly made products, Murphy Precision is proud to produce the world's finest scope bases.

shooter65. thanks for posting that information.

Any more it is difficult at best to know who actually makes there own stuff in the US.

I did not omit any of the other MFG's on purpose. I just make it my personal commitment to not speak
about companies or items that I do not have first hand knowledge of.

Please accept my apology if I offended you or any of the others by not including them in my response.

Respectfully submitted,

Chet
