Well, I really don't have any experience with anything other than .308. My dad had a 30-06 back in the day, but I never really used it. Since I'm already set up for .308 I'd stick with that. But if I had to pick a second caliber, and since we're talking bolt action rifles, I'd probably go with 338 Lapua. It would be fun to reach out a little farther! (if we were talking ALL rifle calibers, then I'd go with 6.8 SPC as my second caliber, but that's not in a bolt action rifle.)

As far as cartridges/chamberings... 300 Winchester magnum and 26 Nosler.
We should be able to add 22lr to all combinations right? It doesn't really count, kinda like a souped up bb gun!
I don’t think any gun collection can be complete without 5 or 6 .22LRs

Either a 6.5x47 or 65CM doesn't matter which in an XLR carbon folder with a 3-18 optic in the 12-13 pound total weight range.
And if the 22lr is a given extra I think I would have to add the 300WM for my second.

6.5 Creedmoor and 300 PRC. The creed for shorter ranges and hunting small things, the PRC for longer ranges and hunting big things.

Those two happened to be the first two calibers I bought, when i started hunting/shooting.
.308W for hunting anything worth eating from geese to moose
.22LR for training, for hunting small animals and for pestcontrol
Both have a wide variety of factory-ammunition available at reasonable prices.
Both are good for practice and competition at the rifle range
It's what I did for the first few years of my time in the Army before I grew up and decided what I really wanted to be and moved on to other fields for Uncle Sam; also because there wasn't enough real trigger time, which was not surprising at the cost of $1,000 per training round and right around $10,000 for war time rounds. The simulator reminded me too much of PlayStation video games; I got real good with my M9 though.

I would go with switch barrel rifles. One short action and one long action.

6BR and 6.5-284. Low recoil, good barrel life, easy tuning would make the 6BR the most used of the two. Very good ballistics AND very good precision of the 6.5-284 would be perfect for longer shots and higher energy. I would beg to add a third one : short barrel 308. Sorry...
I'm thinking 30-06 AI or regular, don't matter. And probably 22-250 with a fast twisted barrel.
30-06 could be loaded with reduced loads to kill small deer, antelope, etc, or loaded hot when hunting large game like elk or moose.
22-250 with heavy pills could be good for taking out varmints, headshots on zombies, etc. It's a 22 cal and these are fun and you should have a 22 cal of some sort.
