That is a great combination.
6.5 to practice longrange, and the 338 Norma for the longrange hammer.
What velocities do you expect to get out of the 338 Norma with the 28" barrel, and why 28", and not 26" as I see most are running in this caliber ?
Very nice looking rifles also.

Blue J I went 28" to compromise overhaving a 30" which my smith said I shoul have, he loves long barrels. I also 28" would wring that tiny bit more from the case.

Blue J I expect maybe 2850 + or - for the .300 SMK. I will try Retumbo (marketed as AR2225 in our country) first.
