I have an SR15E3 and I have put a hogue grip on it. I like it but want one that is going to cover the web of my hand better. I am not a fan of hard plastic grips like the MIAD because but I cant recall it I ever held an AR15 with the MIAD...honestly just dont remember which means it didnt stand out to me. I like grippy rubber, softer, contoured grips. I have narrowed down a few, just want to make sure they will work for the SR15E3 has a spring that some grips wont work with. The two I am considering are:

Ergo SureGrip

Larue Tactical A-PEG:

I like both however I havent felt either. The larue looks like it might be big like the deluxe SureGrip...the regular suregrip is not fat like the deluxe. I have medium size hands so I dont want to run into an issue with the grip being too fat. Not certain if the larue is like the deluxe at all. Let me know what you guys think of my grip options.

Me and my brother both have Ergo grips on our Knights SR15s. We're all big fans of Ergos. The only thing different when installing the grip on the Knights is that there are 2 springs to look out for I believe (instead of just one). Come to think of it, I've got Ergo suregrips on all my ARs...

I have the rubber covered ergos on all my ergos except my POF308. On that one I have the ergo tactical deluxe grip without the palm shelf. Its is a much wider grip and thicker through the web which is what I wanted for the 308. But the regular rubber covered ergos are the way to go on my 223 rifles.

Re: Pistol Grip for Knight SR15E3

I just ordered all...A-PEG, Ergo, BCM Gunfighter, MOE, and Hogue. In the end the best grip was the one I moved to right away my SR15...which was the Hogue.

Of the plastic grips the MOE was a lot better, It finished as my second pick overall. It has the right thickness, right texture in all the right places. The contour near the top of the grip is also nice and adds comfort to this grip. I under estimated it and nearly wrote off the MOE before I gave it a chance.

The BCM was dead last! I was shocked, it was small and narrow. Back of the grip was too slick for me more over needed texture to improve grip. No contour either. I didnt notice the grip angle much either with the stock pulled out or all the way in. It is build well and does look nice, just in the hand I hated it.

The A-PEG was decent, my third pick overall. It did feel very rough and too rough in certain areas. I should op for the less rough grip. The contour is good and this grip is more geared towards someone with larger hands. So if you have small to medium hands you might not find this The palm swells are excellent and in the right places. This is a decent grip overall. If you have large hands it is worth checking out.

The Ergo was also one of my least favorite. It lacks shape is flat, the finger swells are so small you dont know they are there. It just did nothing for me!

The Hogue was the clear winner. It has the best feel. Swells are enough in all the right places. Texturing...well it is rubber so it was softer and far and away more grippy then all the plastic ones. The finger grooves are awesome. It is on the SR15 to stay!

Re: Pistol Grip for Knight SR15E3

It doesn't need the dimple, it just needs a shelf for the second spring to sit on. With the MIAD, you can either use another detent pin or put some jb weld putty down in the recess and let it cure.
