I know of the few from factories, but I don't like the looks of a POF or REPR's or any others I've seen.

Is there a drop in rifle length piston gas system for either the AR-10 or DPMS spec'd uppers and lowers?

If anyone's curious, I'm building a gun that's going to get used, a lot. A lot lot. I wouldn't care for a piston system if it was a bench gun. Thanks for the help!

No piston conversions available at this time. Adams Arms (and others) are working on conversion kits for the AR-10/LR-308 platform rifles, but no ETA or details yet.

If the POF doesn't appeal to you because of its appearance, there are other piston options out there now that you can look into if you can't wait for a conversion.

I myself prefer the ar it's vary hard to argue with over 50 years of experiance I would love to see one of those piston kit's for an ar and I like buying anything I can from Amarican manufacturers. No politic's just self induced Patriotic duty. Not to mention this is going to be the year for the ar 10 cmag.

Like I said...no conversions yet. Here are the companies to watch (although there may be others):

Adams Arms
CMMG
Osprey Defense

As for complete 7.62 AR-platform rifles offering piston operation, there are several including but not limited to:

POF USA (P-308)
LWRC (REPR)
FN (the FN AR, SCAR Heavy/17S)
HK (not yet available in the states, but soon)
