wondering if anyone has had a chance to try one yet? Any reviews on how it compares to the original one? Like to know if it’s worthy or just pay the full price and get the metal one. Thanks!

I have a buddy that has one, and there really isn't much of a difference. Could it break? Yep. Would I care? Nope- I'm going to be more concerned about my Swarovski 15s.

i recently bought one for a new pair of leica 3200.com's i am very happy with them we will see down the road how well they stand up. i wanted some thing that i could leave on and would still fit in my alaska guide pack they filled the bill. as i said we will see how they hold up down the road so far i am more than happy. it locks up tight and their is no movement in the connection. as far as this i can highly recommend them.

I preordered one from brownells. It’s nice and solid. I bought it mainly case I wanted a good way to mount my vortex Recce monocular. Also use it for my cheap bx-2 leupy’s. If I was running more expensive binoculars though i would probably spend the extra $60 and get the aluminum model.

long story short I like it a lot and it solved a small problem I had(Recce mount).
