Please read. The winner is....

Thank you very much guys/gals, it's great to see you all supporting us with your thoughts and prayers, and to see so many that are willing to donate to have a raffle for my wife, and donate to us to help out, it is so incredibly helpful to have all this support to help get through all this.

Today's PT session worked more with movement, eye movement, and head movement, 2 things that get her nauseated, and dizzy. Both her therapists have said they see remarkable improvement this week compared to last. The nausea is destroying her appetite, she's losing weight, but to be honest, she hasn't complained about that part, lol. Still trying to get her blood thinned out, she's the first patient her doctor has ever had to prescribe more than 10mg daily of Coumatin to get her blood to thin out to where they want it. She's at 12.5mg. Hopefully that'll get the job done, we find out on Monday.

Thanks again guys, it means a lot to me, and Nicole, I keep telling her that a lot of folks are wishing her well, and saying prayers for her speedy and complete recovery.

Thank you,

Branden

My thoughts and prayers go out to you, your wife, and your girls. I've had my world turned upside down before, and it can take the support of an entire community to get you back on track, but you will get there. This kind of event really puts everything in perspective and makes us all realize what we have and how easy it is to take those things for granted. Very cool of the OP to start something like this and for catswithguns to make such a huge gesture.

Today Nicole had one of her best days. She doesn't have to take her Lovenox shots in her stomach anymore! Haven't seen her this happy since this all started. I think she got a little boost of motivation out of that. PT in the AM, we'll see if she carries that motivation into tomorrow.

Thanks guys!

Branden

I am in for the raffle.....I know what it feels like to have your world go upside down. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Thanks for the great job you did on my stock!

My prayers go out to you, Branden and your family!

The first time I ever called Branden about getting some work done that did in the past, we talked for almost an hour about dog, family work etc! Very humble and generous person that is very easy to talk too, like we have been friends for years!

Coming together in a time of need for such a great person is a real honor!

Tagging this as its been a while....hope SB/& wife are making still more progress in the recovery.
Love to be in the raffle but getting stuff out here to Oz would be prohibitive.
Not being a religious man, I do still send my thoughts of support and hope of a short and healthy recovery.

Also....an all round pat on the back for all in this community helping out and the OP for starting this thread. Very heartwarming.

Regards
Gypsy

Thank you Maelstrom. I've asked Nicole to write a little update on how she's doing. Only she can really explain what she experiences as I can't seem to grasp how it feels, or what triggers it. From the outside, she looks just normal. But what she is experiencing inside her head is the reason why she has to keep going to PT, and the reason why she's not going to return to work full time just yet and unable to drive still. Even I, as her husband, still have a tough time because she 'looks' just fine.

A model American family, showing courage, faith and an appreciation for life. My prayers continue for you and your family. Very inspirational to hear about your wife recovering, your positive attitude and a family pulling together... it defines your character. I've never had a professional paint any of my rifles, but you might get my business based off what I've learned throughout this thread.

Regards.

Nice of folks here to step up and help a good guy and his family. Reminds me of most of the ranching families I know.

Did I miss a PayPal acct for donations to Branden? I was going to donate more to SH defense fund but maybe they would understand if I held off for another paycheck

Branden, Stay strong for her and let the good folks here help in anyway they can. Tell her and the family that the folks here have all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Branden,
I have not had much time lately to spend on here and I have just now ran across this thread. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Praying for a full recovery for Nicole. I am much to aware of the impact this condition can have on a family since my Dads stroke. Keep the faith and continue to pray.
It is truly awesome to be a part of a group such as this. Even though the vast majority of us have never met, they are still willing to lend a hand when a need arises. I do not paypal, however I would be willing to help with the cause.
Give my best regards to your wife, hug the kids up close, and count your blessings!!

Just a quick update. Big thank you to Phillip (catswithguns) for donating his rifle to make this raffle happen. Rifle is being built by Mark ShortactionCustoms it sounds like we will be able to get this raffle up and going before to long. We are just waiting for the stock to show up. When I know more and the rifle is finished I will let everybody know.

Also a big thank you to all that already donated to ShortBus Paypal.

Please read.

I don't know Branden, but do know the effects of strokes and heart attacks. A prayer was said for recovery and count me in for the raffle.

I can't believe I didn't see this thread sooner, but I haven't been on the hide much at all. I'm glad she's recovering, Branden. I know I hadn't seen you around at any of the shoots. Best wishes and high hopes that she will recover as closely to 100% as possible. You guys will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I have had Branden do work for me in the past. I understand what it is like to have life as you know it flipped( although not as bad as what His family is experiencing) Many have helped me in my time of need.
I know it isnt much, but please let me know details on raffle, items needed to complete rifle etc... I may be able to give something small for the cause, I wont make promises, but I will try. Let me know

I am happy to announce that the raffle is up and going as of now. The rifle is finished and ready. The raffle will run around 30 days depending on interest.

I would like to give a big thanks to catswithguns for donating the rifle, Mark @ SAC for building a badass gun and KRG for sending some runner up prizes.

This is how I want to run this raffle. I am going to use my PayPal account to make it easy on everybody to buy tickets. If anyone would like to mail a check or money order you can contact me and I will be happy to give you my address. 100% of the moneys at the end of the raffle will be gifted to Branden AKA shortbus and his family.

Tickets will be $25.00 each.
PayPal [email protected]

I will email you back after you purchase raffle tickets. At the end of the raffle everybody's name will be put into a box and one lucky person will win.

The rifle is at Short Action Customs and will be shipped to the winners FFL.

Thank you to everyone that helped me get this going. Also a big thank to those who already donated money to Branden AKA shortbus.

I'm so sorry sorry hear about what you and your wife are going through. It is certainly a long and tiresome road. I work in a neuro icu and unfortunately see similar circumstances often. It sounds like you guys are on your way to a success story which is very good to hear.

This forum is made up by some very fine people. This raffle is a great idea and the generosity is enormous.

I'm certainly in, PayPal sent!

Bump. Payment for two tickets sent. Thoughts with you.
