I was wondering what the difference is in a bronze case and a brass case? PMC is a company that uses bronze, or at least title there ammo that way, and I've always shyed away from there ammo because of that. But now I'm hearing there ammo is decent if your just target shooting in the desert. What do you guys think?

Re: PMC Bronze

Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin while brass is made of copper and zinc. With respect to PMC ammo, I think bronze reflects the "grade" of ammo. Haven't seen any for awhile, but I think they made "bronze", "silver", and "gold" ammo. Bronze was the cheaper stuff. I believe it's all reloadable, brass cases.

Re: PMC Bronze

The PMC Bronze .223 ammo also has a crimped primer. It's flash hole is off center and it is the softest brass I've ever reloaded.

Oddly enough, the PMC Bronze actually shoots pretty well.
