POF owners

on the new POF's , is the mounting rails on the sides and bottom of the handguard removable? Thus leaving a smooth handguard with the Mono rail up top. The pictures on the POF website has screws visible on these areas. I was hoping that this would allow for removal.

Nope. The screws that you see attach the handguard to the receiver.

Or they could be the ones attaching the sling studs to the rail.

No...the POF accessory rails are NOT removeable. Rob01 is right...the screws that you see on the side rail are strictly for attaching the removeable swivel sling mount, but the rails themselves are permanent.
