At dinner last night my nephew exhibited this in a state of healing.
He has had poison ivy and did not consider it when it was happening poison ivy. He does a lot of dirt bike riding and works concrete right now.
I was thinking concrete burning but he has had that before and knew it wasnt that.
His career is working as an engineer on a fishing boat out of Adak.
He had to take the shot to get on the boat. Makes great money working his ass off 8 or so months a year.
Thanks for posting this I sent it on to him and my sister as they had no idea what is going on and their doctor was perplexed.
Would have never thought shingles in a healthy 25 year old.....its an older - failing immune system - condition.

There are many, many skin diseases that cause pustules. Ever been bit by fire ants?
Zoster, including atypical zoster, as well as atypical chickenpox (same virus) are not just being seen in younger individuals as a result of compromised immune systems, but because of the chickenpox vaccine pushed on so many. The efficacy of that vaccine kept dropping and dropping and the breakthrough cases were "atypical" in appearance.
