I'm waiting for my university to mandate it.
A couple of months ago they sent out a questionnaire to see how willing people were to get the vaccine (or not), and what their reasons were. I made it very clear and explicit that I have no interest in getting a relatively untested vaccine that utilizes novel medical technology for a virus that statistically represents no threat to me (being 33 with no co-morbidities). Of course I used actual facts and statistics to back up my argument as well, not that they probably cared, since this topic has become much more about an ideological dogma then anything factual and pragmatic.
Of course, many of my classmates are a bunch of fucking pussies, and were happy to get the vaccine. Some of them were almost in tears when our Governor (Ducey) lifted mask mandates the other day. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the students were very warm in that survey about vaccines.
I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I know they were testing the waters on vaccines. I have no intentions of getting the vaccine, mandated or not.
