I would question whether their testimony was a worthy trade-off for them. I understand wanting to open the eyes of the public, but I think the sides have already been picked. Almost every government in existence right now are eagerly trying to use technology to gain total control, turning their countries into police states via digital currency, AI surveillance and social credit systems.

People are fed up, but the pushback is not going to be "armed revolt" by a long shot, at least for the time being. Actually, the pushback, or more accurately, the unintended consequences of the freefall to tyranny had already begun even before 2020. The phenomenon of people putting off on starting new families and having children is accelerating all over the world and it is a direct result of this. Interviews of young people in China and the UK showed the same thing: They are saying that the conditions present in their societies are too dangerous to raise a child in and they do not want to risk it. If this continues, a global population freefall would be visibly noticeable as soon as 2027, with infrastructures crumbling because no new generation is coming up to maintain them. Earlier this year, the Communist Party Central Planning Committee ordered all universities and colleges to issue a MONTH-LONG spring break just to try to encourage more young people to "fall in love". Posters everywhere pleading with people to start families. Kindergartens and schools closing because enrollments are so low in their areas that keeping them open became a cost factor.
