Had this argument last night with a friend that is a CSM in the Guard.
He contends the mission is a joke and it's camouflage to make it look like the administration is doing something. Any clips of them assisting people over the wire are out of context and we don't know if the people were than put into custody.
I contend it is way worse and part of the psyop. The Guard is being used and played much more so than for covering to look like something is being done at the border.
