And we have no way of vetting if they are NOT true. That was more of my point - articles are being used to pump up the emotions of both sides. It is also apparent to me that in the US these conflicts have become a very sad "go team" moment, in some ways similar to picking favorites in football. Not everyone to be sure, but there are more than a few who are willing to put blinders on and jump on the bandwagon of their emotional biases. Trying to sift through the articles and find truth is a level of effort I think most are not willing to engage in.

If you have watched any of the nomination hearings the past two years- this would not be surprising. None are these candidates would have a remote chance of getting through if it weren't for the democratic majority in the Senate (remember that was obtained by the Georgia "runoffs").
