I grew up shooting, and working on, 1911s, and pistol shooting is definitely what I enjoy most. Because of work I often lived in places where shooting a rifle was a long slog, so I came to it more seriously later in life. Now I live in the middle of nowhere, but I still default to pistols normally. I've always been a hunter, though, so I shot rifles, just not all that well.
I came to learn about precision rifles and reloading, but stayed for the political BS.

My aunt and uncle were here from Shitcago last week. They said they don't go down town anymore because of the violence. My aunt almost started crying, saying it used too be such a beautiful city.
Sad to say that not just a Chicago thing. NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore and even DC are towns that I know of that are off of most people's Do Not Visit list. The crime in those cities are so UNDER reported. Baltimore is so bad they have stopped arresting those who commit certain crimes. Not just victimless crimes, but the somewhat uninterested (doesn't effect me) type crimes.
They are considering breaking and entering as trespassing now and trespassing crimes aren't being prosecuted. No drug arrests, so the street corners are an open drug market. Their fugitive task force is pulled from their work to help patrol, that they are so ineffective, those who would be underground are out and about committing more crimes.
This kind of stuff is what's being reported. I can't imagine what's really happening silently in the city.
They vaccinated one of my 4 year olds, who had already had the COVID. I actually had him in a therapy session while he was sick. No masks, no bullshit social distancing, no plastic table divider, no disinfecting everything every 20 minutes. I didn't get it, the other kid in the group didn't get it, none of the other kids who had therapy that day got it, and no one in his class including his including his teachers got it. Yet we are to believe if we walk past some person in the store who isn't sick we might catch it.
IMO the drug war is one of things that turned these neighborhoods upside down.
The areas of Chicago they frequent would be quite ritzy. Their house is bigger than the grade school I went to, which is both testament to how big their house is, and how small that school was. They're probably like, time to go visit the rednecks.

Another possible vaccine death. Details are sketchy at this time. She died yesterday around 1 pm. A woman that works at the same employer as my wife had been sick for a few weeks. Some believe she got sick just after receiving the vaccine. She's in her 30s, not in the best of health before the vaccine stick but was told in order to work on site (she's Human Resources) she'd need the shot.
Sickness and death are not explained by family, maybe they don't really know anything either. But it does seem odd that she came back to working on site and less than a month later she's dead.

i know of two older people who died after getting the vaccine. one was not in great health, she couldnt fight off the jab side effects.
the other was late 70s and he was in decently good health. Dead a few days after the shot. that was back in March, of both, i think.
