A friend made a suggestion. Adjust the time forward 20 seconds per day for six months, then backwards 20 seconds per day for 6 months. Nobody would feel any change. Everyone around laughed and told him how stupid that was.
Then .. One guy checked the time on his phone, two others had those know it all watches. I check my watch (still has hands and numbers 1 thru 12 in a circle), and figure out I would need to adjust it twice a month, close to what I do now when comparing to my phone. TV, radio, almost everything is controlled by an internet time signal.
Gave his suggestion a little more thought.

Bad idea. If you realized how difficult it is to get time correct and distribute it throughout the systems that are very time sensitive. I’ll give you one small example. At any power plant there are dozens of systems that must match time precisely for them to work together and function properly. I hated when the time changed because it took 2-3 people all day to make sure all the systems transferred to the new time at precisely the same time. If one system didn’t and that was common, we would have to go in and manually adjust the time stamp on the data that was incorrect. I couldn’t imaging doing that on a continuous basis.

Thanks for posting this… I honestly wasn’t tracking this at all.
Just had my son sell off all my Bitcoin and Ethereum (he has the digital wallet I use), and simply bought some more physical gold and silver for now. I was always leery of crypto, but my son seems to like it as much as any other investment.
Not sure if I want to mess with crypto at all, but gonna buy some Zano for everyone for Christmas…We’ll see if it takes off like Bitcoin!

My broker is an old flying buddy who got out back in the mid-90s and started his own Edward D Jones franchise; I just stayed with him after he was bought out, and then the new company was also bought out by Wells Fargo. He’s now trying to retire too, but I told him I’m out as soon as he does.
Have him figuring out the best way to park that money without a lot of direct oversight.
I’ll start drawing off 5% or so per year starting next year, but still need to find a place to consolidate the IRAs, 401K, TSP from my time working for Uncle Sugar, etc. and park the principle someplace safe. Right now they’re all in broad market-based funds, except for about 1/2 my 401K that I slowly converted to “paper” gold and silver trusts (Sprott) plus some commodities over the past 4 years.

When asked how can that be, given that it is just math? Got this today. I make no confirmation on his video one way or the other except to say what he is stating about quadcopters is true. He also talks about the drones out west I alluded to earlier. Shoot holes in it as you see fit.
