These people are like the poor liberal parents who scold their kids, threaten them to go to their room, etc; yet repeat the same thing time and time again and never follow through. I don't have kids, but I remember enough about being a kid to know that some offenses got me sent to my room immediately (or worse) and others would get me sent there after a warning and DO NOT COME OUT meant it. There was none of this "my kid must be a bit stupid like I am, so I'll warn him/her at least 6 time before I attempt to follow through." By that time said kid has already determined the parent(s) to be WEAK and STUPID.
