Trumpy: "So you're going to shut down the government if I don’t stop shutting down the government? Umm, ok. Challenge accepted. Thank you, I guess..."
Looks like they accepted your challenge........

Sure we all want the media to burn to the ground for lying. But I'm not sure what Trump's case is here? The Kenyan commie made it totally legal to disseminate propaganda to the American public. Until that is fixed, the media can lie all they want.
You're right, but I think that only extended to politicians being able to get away with lying. I don't remember it extending to the msm (did it ?).

But not using taxpayer money to do it.

But don't the repubs have the majority in both houses? They would need the rhinos to be on board if they wanted a shutdown.

Not exactly.

The vote requirements for Continuing Resolutions is no different than other bills that may be introduced to fund the government (Budget Reconciliation is the exception).

In the House, a simple majority.

In the Senate, a vote of 60 (three-fifths) is needed to end debate (cloture vote). Following that, a simple majority.

So if you don't end debate with 60 votes, government shuts down.

one for the chipper

"One of the little girls is suicidal and both nine-year-olds are traumatized,
touched and photographed young students’ naked bodies, had them assume sexual positions, and showed them pictures of the genitalia of other kids while threatening them to stay silent, the victims said

They perfectly well knew that the person who was abusing the kids was taking them into rooms by himself almost every day, and their tacit approval of this behavior is abominable and speaks to the lack of care and vigilance to protect vulnerable children,” the victims’ lawyer, Richard Emery of Emery, Celli, Brinckerhoff, Abady, Ward & Maazel, told the Post.

McNeal, who resides in Yonkers, still advertises “toddler childcare” and other tutoring-related services on TutorExtra, according to the report. His YouTube account reportedly has “sexually charged videos” about vampires.

The families of the little girls allege in the lawsuit that McNeal was able to pull the children from class “with astonishing frequency” and that he would “radio other staff members seeking coverage — so that he could take [the victims] and others out of class to groom and abuse them.”

IMO, Trump doesn't want a gov shutdown, it would hamper his agenda. It seems that rather, he wants the debt ceiling removed and wanted it removed before taking office. But a few reps didnt allow that to happen during the last reconcilliation bill...

So that can was kicked down the road until next month.

Maybe records request will go through a little faster.
Authors Salah and Weiss stole records from NARA, that were not supposed to leave the building. Nothing has been done.
sounds like the FBI needs to kick her door down at 1am, and have her stand in the cold for a few hours before frog marching her off to a dark hole.
oh, and didn't the FBI have permission to use 'deadly' force on DJT?

Or just do what the Biden Admin. did and ignore it. Fact is this is going to be a fight. Depending on how they fold it can be legal, rhetorical or physical. I prefer the first two but if they think they can go hard core there are enough of us who have had enough. Let's see what you got. Bottom line I'm not going to stand by and let my Grandchildren be left with the bill so Charlie Schumer and Nancy Pelosi and the Clintons have a great life. The corruption is biblical and there for all to see.

That courthouse is Federal property. Send them there. Put the judge on unpaid leave, house and guard the illegals in his courtroom on cots until the matter is settled.

Removing the debt ceiling is a bad idea. We got to where we are through a complete lack of real oversight and just raising the debt ceiling. We can't pay what we owe now and just letting it run without controls may work for the next four years (doubt it), but there is zero guarantee who gets in office next term OR who the congress will have that will then be able to create/spend money out of thin air for things we don't need and encumber the citizenry even more via taxation. Nobody up there has proven that they can act in any fiscally responsible way, so giving them an open credit card that has to be paid on the backs of the present and future taxpayers is no bueno.

First order of business would be to clean up the fucked up spending that is now coming to light, that's the income statement side. Then get rid of non-performing/unused assets so that the ongoing fixed costs associated with them are removed as well. IOW, reduce the money outflow to absolute necessities. Once THAT is done we can then talk about the budget ceiling. Then give the public and congress 2 months to wade through the proposed budget, no more of this "we have to sign it to see what's in it" bullshit.

We have essentially already had the debt ceiling removed for decades, we have just had a dog and pony show around it for public viewing that meant nothing. That's how we got here, and how the dollar has lost something like 97% of its value.
