Somerville has come a long way. I always liked Somerville in the 80s when I went to school. There were great bars and great food. A bit dicey at times, but meh. I came from Lynn - a true shithole place.I though she was from Somerville.
One good thing about Somerville...some mighty fine Mexican style chocolate from that area at least in the past: Taza.
It is very gentrified today. Costs some serious $$$ to live there.
And it's gone from patriotic, working class, legally admitted immigrants from the EU to academic liberal in the process.
