The State of South Carolina taking out the trash: An eyewitness account of Brad Sigmon's firing squad execution:
The number of shooters on the squad was reduced to 3 from the traditional 6 used in other states. Rifles were .308 bolt action Remingtons firing frangible TAP ammo. All three guns were loaded with live ammo, no blank mixed in. Sigmon was basically dressed up in something that looked like a black niqab, strapped down in a manner similar to an electric chair. Sigmon should have absorbed 1-2 full doses of 12 gauge 00 buckshot medicine as soon as he entered his victims' home and there would have been no tragedy at all, but an excerpt in American Rifleman Magazine's Armed Citizen bulletin.
