Not being former .mil I'm unfamiliar with the UCMJ but shouldn't Milley be brought up on charges for this and court martialed?

Same to me. The idea of the Government spying on the people is not something I am fond of, but what he did is treason of the highest order.@GreenGO Juan.
Snowden has always been a dichotomy to me. For one, I think bringing out the sins against COTUS and the BoR were a good thing which would, in theory, not cause grave harm to national defense; however, the other half says that he gave actual military secrets away as well (I don't know any of what he disclosed though) which in my view is a mortal sin against one's country. (For example...Milley should be held as a spy and traitor right now if what he did is true). If he gave actual performance information, ranges, accuracies, human assets, etc to Russia/China then he should be executed for he was acting as a spy. Could be that perhaps his divulging of the other about .gov spying with no regards to BoR was a cover to make himself more favorable in light of the citizenry - we shall never know.
Like I said, he's a dichotomy to me.
Thus the Snowden documents allegedly contained sensitive NSA blueprints detailing how the NSA operates, and which would allow someone who read them to evade or even duplicate NSA surveillance. Further, a July 20, 2015 New York Times article[116] reported that the terror group Islamic State (ISIS or ISIL) had studied revelations from Snowden, about how the United States gathered information on militants, the main result is that the group's top leaders used couriers or encrypted channels to avoid being tracked or monitoring of their communications by Western analysts."In order to take documents with him that proved that what he was saying was true he had to take ones that included very sensitive, detailed blueprints of how the NSA does what they do."[115]
The Left's worst nightmare in GA -- just came true.
Fuck the NSA and parallel construction.detailing how the NSA operates, and which would allow someone who read them to evade or even duplicate NSA surveillance
We can thank George W for ramming the unpatriot act through. Not that surveillance was not used before; but not widespread (from what I've gathered). There has always been a FISA court I think. But Bush, who hates all conservatives that are Constitutionalists, set up the surveillance apparatus to the Nth degree AND was the one pushing very hard for electronic voting.Fuck the NSA and parallel construction.
The whole agency should be disbanded.

This report documents the use of alternative explanations for how evidence was found, a practice known as “parallel construction.” This practice could prevent courts from scrutinizing the legality of questionable investigative methods, including surveillance. Such scrutiny can deter misconduct...www.hrw.org
I guess you think we shouldn’t have found out about the “intelligence” apparatus being used to spy on trump and his campaign ?
^this is why the right sucks ^ they are full of statist pick up that can constitution killing scum.
Small government constitutionalist libertarian FTW
I am likely one of the only people on this forum who has never sucked government dick for a pay check.
Oh, yes, he should. UCMJ classifies this as "Treason"! AND...we all know what the charge of treasonNot being former .mil I'm unfamiliar with the UCMJ but shouldn't Milley be brought up on charges for this and court martialed?

Are you going back every week for a booster?I went and finally got vaccinated. It wasn't bad, I felt a pressure in my rectum. Is it normal for the doctor to zip up his pants after administering the vaccine?
Heard. Don't think I like or embrace the spying on the US public. But our system is fucked and corrupted. I expect it it doesn't surprise me.Fuck the NSA and parallel construction.
The whole agency should be disbanded.

Because those protections that you are complying about being violated, come from the government.

This is from Wiki so the sources are cited and its wiki but here are some estimations of the damage done.
Potential impact on U.S. national security[edit]
In March 2014, Army General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told the House Armed Services Committee, "The vast majority of the documents that Snowden ... exfiltrated from our highest levels of security ... had nothing to do with exposing government oversight of domestic activities. The vast majority of those were related to our military capabilities, operations, tactics, techniques and procedures."[113] When asked in a May 2014 interview to quantify the number of documents Snowden stole, retired NSA director Keith Alexander said there was no accurate way of counting what he took, but Snowden may have downloaded more than a million documents.[114] The September 15, 2016 HPSCI report[105] estimated the number of downloaded documents at 1.5 million.
In a 2013 Associated Press interview, Glenn Greenwald stated:
Thus the Snowden documents allegedly contained sensitive NSA blueprints detailing how the NSA operates, and which would allow someone who read them to evade or even duplicate NSA surveillance. Further, a July 20, 2015 New York Times article[116] reported that the terror group Islamic State (ISIS or ISIL) had studied revelations from Snowden, about how the United States gathered information on militants, the main result is that the group's top leaders used couriers or encrypted channels to avoid being tracked or monitoring of their communications by Western analysts.
According to Snowden, he did not indiscriminately turn over documents to journalists, stating that "I carefully evaluated every single document I disclosed to ensure that each was legitimately in the public interest. There are all sorts of documents that would have made a big impact that I didn't turn over"[20] and that "I have to screen everything before releasing it to journalists ... If I have time to go through this information, I would like to make it available to journalists in each country."[74] Despite these measures, the improper redaction of a document by The New York Times resulted in the exposure of intelligence activity against al-Qaeda.[117]
In June 2014, the NSA's recently installed director, U.S. Navy Admiral Michael S. Rogers, said that while some terrorist groups had altered their communications to avoid surveillance techniques revealed by Snowden, the damage done was not significant enough to conclude that "the sky is falling."[118] Nevertheless, in February 2015, Rogers said that Snowden's disclosures had a material impact on the NSA's detection and evaluation of terrorist activities worldwide.[119]
On June 14, 2015, the London Sunday Times reported that Russian and Chinese intelligence services had decrypted more than 1 million classified files in the Snowden cache, forcing the UK's MI6 intelligence agency to move agents out of live operations in hostile countries. Sir David Omand, a former director of the UK's GCHQ intelligence gathering agency, described it as a huge strategic setback that was harming Britain, America, and their NATO allies. The Sunday Times said it was not clear whether Russia and China stole Snowden's data or whether Snowden voluntarily handed it over to remain at liberty in Hong Kong and Moscow.[120][121] In April 2015 the Henry Jackson Society, a British neoconservative think tank, published a report claiming that Snowden's intelligence leaks negatively impacted Britain's ability to fight terrorism and organized crime.[122] Gus Hosein, executive director of Privacy International, criticized the report for, in his opinion, presuming that the public became concerned about privacy only after Snowden's disclosures.[123]
Govt is put in chains by the constitution as it should be. Obama bitched about it.....
So you suck other dick for free?
Got a rebel here. So when you going to take down the man?Fuck the NSA, the CIA, and everyone who works for them.
They are enemies of the Constitution.
Heard. Don't think I like or embrace the spying on the US public. But our system is fucked and corrupted. I expect it it doesn't surprise me.
Have you ever visited the capitol building and heard the acoustics in the room where you can stand in one spot and hear what is being said on the other side of the room? This country was built on espionage. Literally the capital building was designed to listen to foreign diplomats conversations. If you don't think this intel in the right hands is a good thing... If you don't think that helps secure goods, resources and protect from potential threats... you are entitled to your belief, but I disagree.
Not today, DHS........So when you going to take down the man?
When I was in the National Guard, I was in charge of keeping watch over a dozen M-16s at a shooting range one weekend. Myself and a CPL could not let those weapons leave our sight unless they were signed out by another soldier.
We had to bring every weapon back to the armory in the same condition when it was signed over to us.
Now imagine what would have happened to me and the other soldier if we just left the M-16s at the range instead of bringing them back with us.
There were other times that I was issued a weapon and it never left my sight.
Nevertheless it's somehow okay for the generals and President potato head to leave an arsenal worth millions of dollars to a bunch of ragheaded goat fuckers that are now holding American citizens hostage.
What am I missing?
