We have received at least 4 fraudulent unemployment claims. I know some people with a crop spraying business and farm, someone has tried to claim unemployment using both of their names against their business. There is a major breach somewhere for this much personal info to be flying around to make claims. She hasn't worked for the business in over 25 years.
After the first CV19 "handout" my state identified some $500 mil in fraud.
They stripped every person in the state police that could be used to investigate.
They were not going to try and recover any of the money that just wanted to identify and prevent a recurrence.
