The Appointments Clause allows the President to make nominations for appointed positions like cabinet officers, but the Senate controls the process, including the rules that allow a nomination vote to get to the full Senate floor.

Not just her, Pocohontas is doing this at a federal level. These "pregnant centers" don't do anything against abortion center or the pro-choice movement, they aren't picketing etc. They are merely providing an incredibly valuable resource to women in need that don't believe in killing their babies. My wife's aunt and her husband would hook up their boat and drive to Canada EVER Spring for more than 25 years. Two or three years ago (Either just before or at the beginning of Covid), when they hit the border, the Mounties or whoever pulled them over, demanded they get out of the truck and then proceeded to pull everything from the truck and boat. When they were satisfied (took more than 2 hours), they had to reload everything the Mounties removed.
Now realize, their passports showed they had entered Canada the same month every year.
They have not been back since.
