Saw it on Chinese social media yesterday. Apparently, the various provincial and city governments' lockdown powers are losing their grip because more and more people are simply flat out ignoring them, so the state is filming apocalyptic "Outbreak" style scenes and flooding news stories with it trying to scare people into thinking that COVID is an ebola like death virus and everybody got to stay indoors. Nobody is buying it though, and embarrassing footage of the production like this is now being leaked and circulated.
ETA: One leaker of the video is a PLA officer charged with production of one part of the "movie", and he said that some of the films were made for export to western audiences and governments to try to get them into initiating new lockdowns because of the "scary virus". Basically to create more psychological chaos everywhere. I guess one of their social media control hub office towers going up like a pyre last week wasn't enough for them.
