Citizens get to pay $200K. Cop gets a class A misdemeanor with a diversion program. If he completes the course his charges are dropped. But he's turned in his certificate and can't be a cop in Texas again. Backup was just following orders and no charges. No longer works for the city though. Probably working for the adjacent county.
