Maybe the truth is in the middle there- Current "reporting" suggests that it is rising interest rates which collapsed their long-term bond performance. However, the fact that they didn't see it coming is because what risk officers they had were busy working on their ESG/DEI scores. But when you see two banks fail over the weekend and another "wind down" its ops, it suggests that exposure to the repercussions of Biden's economic policies may be systemic.
