No regulations for making fertilizer? Come on man, what year of you think this is?
Sewage sludge is not allowed in anything OMRI listed or Certified Organic.

Fertilizers and soil amendments can be derived from raw materials, composts and other organic matter, and wastes, such as sewage sludge and certain industrial wastes. Overuse of fertilizers can result in contamination of surface water and groundwater.www.epa.gov
Sewage sludge that is used in agriculture is regulated under the Clean Water Act, and is currently subject to concentration limits for the following metals:
- arsenic
- cadmium
- copper
- lead
- mercury
- molybdenum
- nickel
- selenium
- zinc.

Not only is their regulations, if you fudge the numbers on a product, land apply too much, break the laws and regs?
Lose your license for life, immediately. All your actions in perpetuity will be subject to prosecution and jailtime.
It amazes me at how many people think the environmental field is full of idiots that couldn't get a job anywhere else.
