The problem is when these jack wagons start thinking we (the fans) are paying them for their opinion or observations. Much less their political views. Like Hollywood stars they would do best to remember they are basically a trained donkey...If they fail to dance and clap their little cymbals together they are worthless to us. You would think his IVY LEAGUE parents would have taught him that but I guess not. I don't see him getting hired by a PRO team. A minor league team will pick him up thinking his actions will be forgotten soon enough and they will. Really sad actually as he is a talented athlete. He will be back in the pro's after a couple seasons. While I think he's certainly deplorable for his actions let's put some perspectives on this thing. There are killers and rapists playing pro ball. Little susupension, little stigma but they still get paid. He will be the same after the cool down period. He put his wang out there on the chopping block with the free agent bull shit, I'll bet he's regretting that now. I'm also certain he has had offers to play, maybe not what he wanted but offers nonetheless.

Oppression: When you make 10 mil a year for ten years and are still broke.
Good friend of mine that I played High school football with was an absolute Phenom. Played for UGA straight out of high school, two years of "athletics" and he went pro with a BIG contract. Played three years of a five year contract in the NFL (10 million) which was a tremendous amount of money back then. Got hurt in his third season that ended his career. When everything was said and done he was bankrupt. He was so involved with his lifestyle, and that he was basically printing money he didn't have a care in the world. When the checks stopped rolling in he realized he didn't OWN anything. Everything was leased or had a payment. His house, cars, BLING.....all of it. Close to 5 million dollars had gone through his hands like water. After his recovery, UGA gave him a honorary degree. He teaches part time and is a high school football coach now living week to week. This is exactly what happens to these guys. Limited education and so concerned with their IMAGE and LIFESTYLE that they forget what happens when they get hurt or old. Those endorsement deals don't come rolling in for has beens and former players on a walker now.

Seems like there might be some money for him now. Given that everyone is chastising him for something the reporter has admitted he never said, I'd say he has a fairly good case for libel against CBS for publishing the article in the first place.

just wait. In 2 years we'll see the release of the best selling new book

"Football Players Lives Matter" by Colin Kapernick.

Stand or sit, it makes no difference to me. I won't see another NFL game as long as I live so what do I care what this asshole does.
