Possible JAE news?

I'm excited to see what comes of this.

I hope if they are pairing up they leave the JAE chassis as they are. While functional, the MDT chassis are butt ugly. JAE is design perfection in my mind for chassis. My favorite chassis by far.

Modular Driven Technologies (MDT) Acquires assets of J Allen Enterprises

MDT is excited to announce the acquisition of the designs, tooling and patents of the renowned precision rifle chassis system, the J Allen Chassis JAE-700 and JAE-100.

The J Allen Chassis systems have been touted as one of the most comfortable and configurable stock-style chassis systems in the last two decades, making it one of the most popular chassis among top precision rifle competitors. MDT is proud to continue the J Allen Legacy under the MDT line of precision rifle chassis and accessories.

CEO Maarten Van Ruitenburg states, “The acquisition of the tooling, patents, and design of the J Allen Chassis systems strengthens MDT’s position as the premier chassis manufacturer in the industry and offers another proven product to help customers SHOOT BETTER”. MDT will begin the transition of the Chassis production late 2019 at its Everson WA, USA facilities and plans to be in full production by mid 2020. “MDT will produce the J Allen Chassis with the same quality and expanded features that MDT and JAE customers expect” says Van Ruitenburg.

MDT is the leading precision rifle chassis manufacturer with offices and production in both Chilliwack BC Canada and Everson WA USA.

The only mod I'd like to see is being able to use the internal weight kit. And maybe removable skins, for those of us that
have to change the color of our rifles every six months :cautious:

barbie needs a new dress when barbie needs a new dress. Then its on for shoes to match oh and the barbie car with working lights is to die for , lol you got to do what you want to do with your stuff . polka dots or stripes , vanilla or chocolate , tac ta cool or practical choices are fun to have .

The price will be looked at for sure.

We will see what changes, if any need to be made. We know it's a very beloved design. We love it too!

Yes, that will be a big part of this for sure.

We will be finalizing those details in the coming months. Likely, yes, however, what form that takes is undecided at this time. Please be patient while we get everything set up.

@MDT_Josh can I go ahead and put money down for a pre-order? :) I still have my Gumball artist rendition of what I tried to buy from them a few months ago. Long Action.

If you guys get these below $1500....you will sell a *%$* ton.

Well...if they priced them at $999...I'd probably buy a long and a short action

EDIT to add....for a Remmy 700 pattern....because that's the only pattern that matters ;)

I guess I should add...the price I'm talking about was basically a fully loaded version....with the ARCA rail,...probably would be better with M-Lock spaced for the MDT weighting system......really liked the magwell collet system...and a few other of the 'options'.

I really like the comfort...at least for my body type....of the design.

This is excellent news! The JAE was by far my favorite chassis option based on ergonomics alone. I got lucky and got a really good deal on one, then foolishly let it go. I’d absolutely be in for another if they’re reasonably priced!

Mine that I never got was 1250 with an Arca rail.

They had gotten almost in line with other expensive chassis, by making it base price +options... that’s less than a foundation and bottom metal.

personally, I thought it was worth that. Would likely order another...i Just would prefer to get it next time.

This is great news! I personally own 3 of them and really like them. To be quite honest the price point to the features make them well worth the cost. You can adjust the mag latch instead of grinding/welding on them to get them adjusted, adjust the mag well length to fit your mags better. All those little things add to the cost to build and are features I still want to see with the MDT transition

I would hope that the transition from Cali to Washington would help them price competitively. I really think they could have been better sellers in the $1000-1200 range, but when I optioned one out at $2k I went back to looking at MDT and KRG.

bought 3 MDT chassis (1 folding 2 non folding )since spring on here from hide members and 1 JAE. Kept the MDT's and sold the JAE about a month after receiving it. Wasn't that impressed with it for the money. Maybe if all i was going to do was bench shoot , might have kept it.
Not going to say anything bad about it, but just wasn't worth the $600 difference, all were used but like new

Good for you guys great fit and I hope Lisa is part of your plans! JAE is a great product, well thought out, seems the production side caused the issues which you will resolve. Good news for the industry and consumers! Thank you for making it happen.

We're very excited about this opportunity to carry on with such an iconic chassis. We have acquired the designs and asset, however, if the opportunity arises to collaborate we will.

I love reading that they will look into possibly lowering the price And that they will hopefully keep the same design. Their stocks just had such a natural feel in my hands; they were easily one of if not the favorite stock out there. Thanks for the encouraging news.

I had a SA I loved everything about it except the grip, ended up selling it and buying 2 bravos and a bunch of other stuff with the extra money. If the grip was more vertical it would have been perfection !

Bought mine back in 2013, waited almost a year, but decided to go with a Manners EH-1 instead to be lighter and sold the JAE, something I will always regret, I loved that stock. Not only functional but sexy as well.

@MDT_Josh previous posts mentioned around summer 2020, are you still on track for this timeframe and any news about whether the design is staying the same or are you changing some things up?

I hope so. The JAE is an excellent chassis', in my mind the best one made yet.

There's a few improvements and design refinements that I hope that they make. I'm happy that the JAE line is going to be continued to be supported, especially by a company like MDT.
