I did some pressure testing the other day with my 22 250 and i went all the way up to 37g of IMR 4064 with no signs of pressure. I just was interested in peoples load data. Thanks

Re: Post your 22-250 load

34 grains Varget
55 grain V-max
CCI BR Primer
Win Brass
.015 off lands
Factory Rem 700 VLSS Thumbhole 26" barrel
.5 MOA or better out to 350 or so then opens up a little.

Never ran it across a chrono but guessing about 3550. Not the fastest load ever but very accurate in this gun. Never tried it in any others.

Re: Post your 22-250 load

So I did a ladder test today using IMR 4064 and RE 15. I got up to 2815 fps with 55g nosler ballstic tips and no signs of pressure. Couldn't chrono the IMR 4064 but bolt was hard to open at 37.5g. I think 37g will be my max load. Also, had a node between 36-37g so it worked out perfect! Hopefully the velocities are good

Re: Post your 22-250 load

36.0gr Varget
50gr Sierra BlitzKing
Winchester Lg Rifle Primer
Seated as long as I can get to be just off the rifling

Shoots 5 shot groups right at .65 in out of a 700VS.

Great load and devastating on pairie dogs :)

Re: Post your 22-250 load

I ran an AI reamer into my .22-250 barrel. I'm running 40.0gr Varget, Rem 9 1/2 primer, and 50g Moly BlitzKings. This load is 5 shots/one hole accurate at 100 yards prone, and is running 3960fps average. I've got no pressure signs, easy bolt lift, and great accuracy. I was thinking about bumping the load a little to get 4100fps, which I think it will, but it shoots too good to mess with. Plus it chunkifies rockchucks.
If you like the .22-250, you've gotta try the AI version!
