Honestly, I used a 1500 for ten years. Upgraded to a supertrickler. It is fancy but in terms of results, it can hardly be called an upgrade. In answer to your question, the ADI scale.Ok I have been very frustrated with my rcbs chargemaster 1500. I’m looking at buying a creedmoor sports scale or do I go to a addy scale? I would like to advently upgrade to a v4 autotrickler or an ingenuity. How are the creedmoor sports scales?
What did you change in the programming?I don't get it. My 1500 has the straw modification and some programming changes and here is the results of 33 charges of 25.4gn 8208XBR thrown and checked with an another scale capable of 0.02gn resolution.

I don't know about him but myself and a lot of other people adjust the cutoff weights for the three dispensing speeds. From the factory there is a quite a generous buffer for it to slow down and run at a lower speed so it doesn't overthrow. Depending on powder type you can usually have it dispense faster for longer. What did you change in the programming?
Those are the settings. But most of the post are about speeding the dispensing up as opposed to getting better accuracy. The Primal Rights straw mod works but I found it over compensated when changing powders. I have used two methods. One is just the straw in the end of the tube. It's about 1-1/2" inchs long. I also used the end of a 243 win cartridge. The body portion of the case fits over the tube and the shoulder and neck act as a bushing.I don't know about him but myself and a lot of other people adjust the cutoff weights for the three dispensing speeds. Re-Programming: RCBS Chargemaster Combo :: Primal Rights, Inc
If you don't have an RCBS Chargemaster Combo, you probably need one! By reprogramming the Chargemaster, you'll cut your charge times in half, or more.www.primalrights.com
I know very little about them but I thought I had heard with tiny gradual variations in weight at close to zero the machine assumes it is still empty and zeros itself out. Sometimes when I pull the two 50 gram calibration weights off it briefly reads 0.1 and then goes to zero.So I did a little messing around with it the other day. I took h4350 and 1 by 1 put a kernel on the pan, I ended with 50 kernals and it was still reading zero. I picked the pan up and put it back on the scale and still said zero. I put it on my other scale and it weighted 1.5grains. So I’m thinking the scale is having issues and bad. Which if it’s reading that far off I can see why I have been having issues with higher es and sd.
So the 1500 said they were spot on but another scale said they were all different? What other scale did you use? Sometimes I check my Chargemaster with a 505 triple beam and it's always spot on.So I just threw 10 charges at 40g with h4350 and they showed right on the 1500 but there was a 38.8 a 39.1 and a 40.8 the rest were spot on at 40. So that would show why my es are ok sometimes and not others. I think the scale could use a rebuild, I’m dealing on a fx300in right now then I will see what happens with some of these other power dispensing systems out there. Ingenuity system, the v4, and now the new printed system that’s being worked on.
The 1500 has an auto zero function so when it see a small change like that it rezeros. It is working correctly. So I did a little messing around with it the other day. I took h4350 and 1 by 1 put a kernel on the pan, I ended with 50 kernals and it was still reading zero. I picked the pan up and put it back on the scale and still said zero. I am saying that what you are doing is inconsistent with how that scale works. There is a small 0 in the upper left hand corner of the display. Place the pan on the platen, wait a couple of seconds and press zero. The 0 will come on. Now drop a kernel or two in the pan. The zero should go away, and then will come on again because the scale saw the grains as scale drift and referred itself. I think this occurs when the weight is less than 0.2 gn. Unfortunatly this is undocumented in the instructions. It is a well documented feature on the internet. So your saying throwing almost a whole grain off but showing the correct amount and it’s working right?
