Powder for 300wm, 300prc and 300rum.

I'm looking for a powder for all three. I'm using 230 otm Berger bullets.

RL26 is a speed freak right up until 230 grain projectiles or so. N570 will get you more out of the PRC and RUM but it’s probably too slow for the WSM.

Hodgdon ... H1000 and/or Retumbo ... works great in my 300-WM and 300-PRC ... I don't shoot 300-RUM.

I read that one wrong. Whats the barrel length? N570 might work for all 3. N565 too.

Here’s what VV has in their app. Berger and VV are both capstone companies so if you call they’ll probably give you 230 Berger data for all 3.

Also N570 is probably the biggest powder kernel I’ve ever seen. Runs really well with an autotrickler. Will not throw accurately under any circumstances.

RETUMBO for all 3

n570 will get you 50-100 fps more speed, but in return will smoke your barrel in half the time

A friend gave me a pound of N570 to try in my winmag with 215 hybrids. In a 26"1:9 bartlein, it ran a comfortable 2930. It's great for speed but it comes at a cost.

With my load for a 215 using magpro, you can touch the barrel after five shots no problem. With N570 after five it'll burn you.

I will say though, I did like how easy and consistent it was to get low single digit sd's with it.

I know nothing of VV powders, what would be another good one for the winmag ? I'd prefer to stay with their temp stable line, which is their 5 series correct ?
