Started reloading this year. Bad timing. Anyway, I've navigated primer/bullets ok but all of a sudden ALL powder went totally missing. Is this seasonal or just another COVID gift. I know certain powders were pretty much unobtanium (Varget was never in stock BEFORE panic), but I was happily tooling along with my alternatives.

Did my Load Development with 6.5 Creedmore, found a good load and poof everything is gone. I was buying IMR 4451, and H 100V as late as Dec. Is it just the post X-mas lull (gun stores always have low inventory I noticed after 1st of year) and it picks up around March/April,

Anyway, even IMR 4064 (my secret 308 recipe) is out. I have a stash (just in case), but just starting 6.5, no chance to stock up (I woulda bought 8 lbs of H4350 but it sadly is pretty rare) and everything is "limit: Jack Shit"

Trying to plan as much as I can and knowing "inventory goes south in winter" is kinda handy.

OP search "XYZ in stock" on the forums here before making a post like this. This will give you more objective data. Whatever the situation is, the past couple months has been more or less of the same. The OP makes it sound like something has changed, but no specific info or data to back that up.

pics of tears rolling down your cheek groveling will defiantly help grab sympathy . the closer you can accurately depict that Indian fellow with a single tear tv commercial from the early 80's the better it could not hurt to try . lol

We haven't had powder for some time in my little piece of paradise. Between my personal issues and lack of supplies, I shut down my reloading room, covered everything and turned out the lights.

I hope things will return to near normal amounts of supplies, but I just don't see it any time soon.

Good luck to those who want to continue.

To the OP and not try to be an asshole but that must be one hell of a comfy rock youve been living under 🤣🤣
I know one can score some overpriced components even now but life and my time is to precious to me to be glued to email alerts only to be dissapointed roughly 95% of the time.

Primers are tough I haven’t really even bothered since I’m gtg on those. There is an ID chat on discord the guys in there were saying North 40 had some.

Bullets starting to get scarce too, looks like .40/ea is the going rate for that class bullet now. Damn.

and you have idiots like me just getting into the reloading game and trying to build up a decent inventory. i think once the newbies and recent gun owners get to their safety stock levels, ammo and reloading stuff will start to get back towards normal though perhaps never back to normal depending on what this and future administrations do.

Things are out there but you have to always be looking and be fast on the trigger. The discord group has helped but before that when I was looking for something whether is was powder or primers, I had my web browser open with about 5 tabs of the different venders. Had my account logged in and my credit card payment saved in my account. Then about every 10-15 minutes I went through and refreshed each tab. Eventually I found the primers I was looking for in stock and jumped on it quick.

+1 for sign up for email alerts. I just bought 8lbs of H4350 from Powder Valley and 8lbs of Shooters World Precision from Midway. It’s primers that are unobtanium

thought Id try it waiting for an order of bullets to show up from discord at best it shows up and I get a pack of 100 berger bullets at worst I am out a few bucks and learnt a valuable lesson or find out that seller is out and the new price is too high .

yeah i signed up as well not sure how much ill use i had discord for music streaming sites and i found it to be a royal PITA .I am also pretty stocked up for now but never hurts to have all options available wanted to say thanks to the OP for posting the question and to GMZ for suggesting discord and the instructions .

Until these dickheads on GB stop buying up everything and putting together fucking package deals and $1500 for 5k primers shit we wont see anything for more than a few minutes at most. I watched probably 500 or way more 8# jugs and fucking tons of 1lbers go poof in less than an hour on PV today all sorts of Shooters World powder.

I feel your pain, its frustrating as hell... Fucking primers are almost unobtanium.

Got a notification today from Midsouth Shooters Supply @ 1456hrs that they had StaBall in-stock... I had my computer right in front of me and literally clicked on the link, added it to my cart, and tried to check out a few times, wouldn't go through... was sold-out @ 1500hrs. :mad:

Dropped by my local neighborhood gun store today. It looks like he's going out of business. All kind of empty shelves. Gun rack only has BP rifles. Handgun display was empty.

He said if he gets something in, there's a mob rush to buy it. He said he thought somebody has a camera on his front door and when UPS shows up, they attack. He's flush with money but can't get much to stock his shelves.

Reloading section had nothing, zip, zero on the shelves.

It was sad to see.

same happened to me was at lest step of checkout .i have all my info in their system as i have been a customer for years
