Anyone out there got any good sources of powder these days. I mostly shop locally but most everything has dried up. Unless you want 50 cal power. I last bought power from power valley (H335) but they have had no new supply's for about 2 months now. Love to get my hands on some RL-15, IMR4895, or IMR8208 ect. Were the hell is all the power going these days. Two years ago you could find anything you wanted. Damned non-user buyers lets call them hoarders and now there is none.

Thanks,
Rich L

Powder availability sucks for every body these days, or at least me, and I feel it goes for everybody else too. It has come to knowing loads with different powders so you can keep shooting. Lately IMR4064 has been available while the other powders I used for 308's have not been around in quite some time so I have learned to come up with various loads with at least three powders now.

For whatever reason...Your area of Idaho is a black hole. This past Christmas my wife dropped off some VARGET to a fellow Hide member who lives in ID Falls.

I can tell you what has worked well here in MT back when it was really dry. Several shooting buddies ALWAYS check the local stores when they travel. they find something they KNOW who needs WHAT and simply buy it. We ALL needed certain powders so if it came available none of us got greedy,...we always shared the bounty.

I'd have friends in Boise area or MT check local stores. Have any friends that travel through MT? Anyone you know go south to Reno?

Hell just over the hill in Dillon, MT the little shop south of the college has had a lot of powder right along. Same for primers and Berger bullets.

Sportsmans Warehouse seem to have a good supply.

Last year we got off our asses and got proactive....and we had few issues finding powders that at least WORKED for what we needed. Re 15, 19, 25 , H-4350 were non existent...but we are NOW finding them more frequently.

A guy has to get inventive.

If your talking Reno NV you might as well right that off as well. Every Prune Picker from CA is coming over the hill to raid NV because of the atmosphere in CA.
