Gonna poll the hide to see what y'all have for recommendations. Have a buddy that wants to p dog hunt for a bachelor party. Anybody have recommendations for a place, guide, lodge whatever the term may be haha?
Did this for my bachelor party 11 years ago. 5 of us went. 3 days and 2 nights. It was a blast too. Can’t recommend anything local to you. We went out to western OK. Local chamber had names of ranchers who would let you come out and kill all you want.
Nice! Hadn't really looked into it before he started talking about it. Good to know there are some options. We are thinking we'll have to travel somewhere for sure though. Not too many here in VA. Every once in a while there is a ground hog at the range but they never seem to last long ??
So.........I am not sure when the wedding is but, if you are looking for combination bachelor party/p dog location I would suggest going to Sturgis for the motorcycle rally or the classic car rally. I flew into Rapid City with my rifle and shipped my ammo, got a hotel in Sturgis with some buddies, partied our butts off and then went to a ranch in Hereford, SD for the day and shot until we could't shoot anymore. It was the most fun I have ever had with my clothes on!! Below is who I used but it has been a few years since I was there, 5 years to be exact. I would have endorsed him 5 years ago and did because a buddy and I went back the next year. I was not expecting much except for a shooting bench and some prairie dogs though. Walter, the owner, had a sandwich, chips, and Gatorade for lunch. He glassed and ranged to get us started then we shot until we didn't want to shoot anymore. My farthest kill was 550 yards and my buddy got one at 625 yards. We tried to keep track of how many we got but there were so many we stopped counting and kept shooting!! It was hours of fun!!!
