Eye-oh-wah
What’s your go to prairie dog shooting set up?

-Rem 700 SPSV 12twist in 223 rem w/Timney 510,
-50gr vmax with a stout load of H335 going 3450fps sure makes them fly.

A heavy barrel ar chambered in 223. Tree reticle with exposed elevation turret 15 20 round Pmag s loaded with 50 or 55 vmax. X2 so one can cool.

Any accurate bolt or AR rifle in 204R or 223 (pretty much any 20 or 22 caliber cartridge) will be perfect for shooting these guys. The problem with going pdawg shooting is, you have to keep doing it....an addictive activity!

What distances are you shooting dogs at with the RPR .22lr?

.204 gets the job done humanely. I don’t enjoy killing animals personally, so when I do, I prefer instant death for the critter

And if you could only pick one of these listed, which one? I ask because you clearly have one of the larger sample sizes to reference. ?

And if you're in the mood, why? ?

The 17 Hornet, because it's fairly flat, like a 223 with 55's. Not as much goo fling, but more, it's quiet and the dogs stay up longer and anybody can see the hits thru the scope. But if only limited to one, the heavy 204 with 40's. Seeing the carnage and good launch is fun and it takes a while to heat up....
