Did it take a lot of inletting? Williams only makes them for post 64 now.

They must've changed that policy within the past 3 months, because I got my pre-64 bottom metal from them 3 months ago.

I'm not sure about the inletting. Mike Bush at BlackOps Precision did the work for me. Inletted into a McMillan Adjustable HTG. If you would like pictures, let me know.

I have a 1953 pre 64 M70 featherweight in 308 and it is not a short action. It is the same length as my 270.

The 308 has spacers and spot welds to accommodate the short cartridge.
