Recently purchased these and am looking for insight. No markings what-so-ever on outside of mags, steel bodies, as they are heavy. See pictures. Are these pre-ban mags? Manufacturer? Thanks in advance.

Re: Pre-ban AR15 magazines?

If you have a smartphone...have you tried scanning the barcode? Just curious. I tried from the computer screen for $#!ts and giggles but got linked to art supplies (clearly not right).

There are multiple companies that made steel-bodied, parkerized magazines prior to the '94 AWB (legal behind enemy lines in states that continued their own bans), but they are also currently made today. The problem is that PROVING they are pre-ban magazines is a whole different issue. Without any markings, you can certainly argue their date of mfg was prior to the ban, but the reverse is also true. Have you disassembled one to see if there are any markings on the internal portion of the mag body, floorplate, follower, etc.?

If you can't prove it is pre-ban, then you also can't prove it isn't! </div></div>
