Pre64 base on a post 64 m70???

So I've seen comments that go both ways. If they are both the same model, model 70, I would assume the same base should fit both. However, I know they changed some of their manufacturing techniques. I just need a simple answer, a yes or a no, before I make a purchase on a base that could potentially work or not.

Two piece bases from a non H&H magnum pre-64 will fit a non H&H magnum post-64

The post-64 short, long, WSM/FN post-64 all have the same 0.860” hole spacing but the front to rear spacing varies.
