Checked some of my e-mails this morning and found this. It seems BPI (Bergara/CVA/Quake/Dead Air Armament/...) now offers the Bergara B-14 HMR in a muzzleloader variant. Maybe an option if our socialist friends ever get to complete their confiscation plans. Not quite sure why a muzzleloader would need what seems to be a bolt handle , or what to make of this.

It's an in-line 209 primer fired muzzle loader. The bolt allows access to the primer nipple, where the 209 shot shell primer is seated. In-lines have been done as break actions, falling blocks, and bolt actions. Not really new, and you can get muzzleloaders with VERY high quality barrels.

Thanks for explaining, I really don't have any experience with muzzleloaders except for a percussion cap 1853 Enfield Rifled Three Band Musket from the 1850s that's a wall hanger in my office. All of my shooting was done with a variety of Uncle Sam's bolt actions, and semi-autos, rifles and assorted pistols until I started acquiring my own, none of which included muzzleloaders. Just thought it was interesting that the integrated chassis has made it into the world of black powder.

I was making hits with my muzzle loader on my 17" steel at 1000 the other day.
Mine really is just a brux 45cal barrel that my Smith made a breech plug set for and switch barrel with my 6.5-284 barrel. I use 45 acp cases modified for 209s.
I run a 300 grain sabotless bullet over 3000fps with smokless powder and about 2400fps with blackhorn 209, depending on state laws.
Look up smokeless muzzle-loaders lots of reading

I've still got too much interest in my bolt actions to want to divert major money into muzzle-loaders, although I might get one just in case. I was just primarily interested in seeing the integrated chassis stock used on one. I guess long range precision shooting is benefiting other fields of the sport as well.
