This event will follow the format of the GAP Grind at K&M. The purpose is to grow the sport and help new shooters experience precision rifle shooting at long range. Target engagements will be up to 700 yards away. Event difficulty will generally be considered as basic for those new shooters.
Pro shooters are those that have participated in a precision rifle event in the past. If you have shot this match before as an amateur, you can shoot as a pro, but not again as an amateur.
We are limiting the number of amateur shooters to 25 until we have an idea of how many pro shooters can attend. Registration will be first come, first served, with NHRPC members getting preference for the first 24 hours of registration.

Bill can I bring along a friend as a spectator so he can see what its like. He doesn't have a rifle yet and wants to check it out, or if possible could he register and be spaced far enough apart that I can share my rifle that day?

Sure. Just make sure they have ear and eye protection, and know the safety rules. They will also need to sign the waiver that I will be sending out.

The match is now at full capacity. Anyone registering now will be placed on a waiting list and will be notified if a slot opens. Thank you to all the Pros that registered to shoot and help out. Should turn out to be a great day!

OK guys, we have a little over a week to go. Hope everyone's ready! The round count will be 60 for the Am's and a little less for the Pros. I would bring at least 80 in case you need to re-shoot a stage, or if we finish early, you can have some extra to mess around with. See you then!

Had a great time yesterday. Thank you to everyone who helped out and to all the pros that were very helpful with guiding us Am's through the stages. It was a great experience and a great entry to shooting matches.

Absolutely! Couldn't have hoped for a better intro into shooting matches than this Pro/Am format...

Excellent group of fellas ran a real fun match!
THANK YOU to Bill and his crew of ROs, as well as all the PRO shooters!!! My Pro, Jim, was a cool dude, very accommodating, knowledgeable & helpful before, during & after the match. Blessed to have such a positive experience as a first timer...

See you guys again on the range!

Here are the correct (I think?) match results. Thanks to all those that helped out, and to the Pros for giving their time to help the new shooters. Hope to see you all at a match this summer.

Fun match, definitely educational. Awesome people there. I just wish my gun hadn't been screwing up all day with a busted extractor, was kind of embarrassing. That being said I had a great pro who helped me a lot and I'll definitely be trying more matches this year as opportunity allows.
