DESCRIPTION:
*1 day (8-4pm) class designed to introduce the new shooter to tactical precision rifle competitions. This class will be mostly spent on practical skills on the range, with 2.5 hours of classroom.
*Data collection: we will document and verify rifle data with chronograph, and run ballistic programs for your platform.
TOPICS:
Competition safety/etiquette, MILS vs. MOA, Gear selection, Rifle set up, Data collection, Fundamentals of marksmanship
SKILLS:
*Fundamentals of marksmanship: natural point of aim, sight pic/sight alignment, trigger control natural respiratory pause, and dry fire exercise.
*Steel targets will be engaged from 200-725 yards.
*Common competition scenarios- barricades, transition, gear management
Required Equipment:
*Rifle capable of 1MOA accuracy
*Optic with externally adjustable turrets
*Bipod and rear bag
*+100 rounds of match grade ammo (BRING EXTRA)
*Clothing appropriate for season
*Food (water will be provided)
*Ballistic program: we suggest “BALLISTIC” application
