Well after I put some scope caps on the good old .308 today I decided to take out front of the house and take a few pics of it after the abysmal inside photo I took. Still one of my favorite rifles I own.View attachment 7288076View attachment 7288077View attachment 7288078View attachment 7288087

Lovely rifle and awesome covers! And scenery is not bad either :)

I almost ordered set of tenebraex to my scope, but it seems that my .338lm project is taking more than I thought so I need to be a bit carefully about my investments :) I have vortex flip covers and they will do fine for now.

Thanks the rifle is one of my favorites, despite having several more expensive rifles. As for the scenery it is across the street from our house where our boat and garage are, I have been working night the last 3 years so I have forgot how beutiful it is when it is light out.

I have not had the Vortex covers, but I have these on one of my PMIIs and I run the BC caps on the others because that is what they came with. And they all seem to work really well.

Loving the "old" Remington in .308. I run one too and find that its feature set and accuracy fill my needs just fine. Like you, I am sticking with a little more traditional stock rather than go the chassis route.View attachment 7289573
You might dig this one if you like traditional?

Savage .300WM, 24"
Vortex Viper HSLR
H&S stock
Harris on a Seekins Rail
ARC Rings
EGW 20MOA rail
Cerakote done by me (first time using Cerakote)

Unfortunately haven't had the chance to shoot it since it was still in factory condition due to being in a lockdown area that took effect the day before I was going to zero it at the range.
Thats not too shabby of a cerakote job for your first time. I haven’t tried it yet, but I think you did amazing!

Very nice.
What are the specs/details on the very bottom one?

Good evening,

The bottom rifle is a trued and lapped Rem. receiver with a 22” SS 1-10 .30 cal straight contour Lilja barrel that I had on the shelf. It is a truck axle and weighs a ton. It shoots too well to pull the barrel.
It was kind of a experiment with some spare parts. I use it for local 200 yard egg shooting comps. It is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Stock is a B&C tactical with a channel carved in it for the huge barrel and a Atlas bottom metal.

Kind Regards,

- Jon

Nothing fancy just a Savage 116 in 338-375 Ruger.
28" X-Caliber barrel with MBM 4 port Beast Brake.
HS Precision stock with 3.850 detachable mags.
Steiner T5xi scope in Badger USMC Rings.
Atlas CAL Bipod and 3.35" rail..
Bolt fluted by Darkeagle.
And a bunch of other goodies that I don't want to bore you with.

Jon Beanland don't play :) Have one in his shop right now. Nice looking rifle!

Hi Folks,

I purchased my Bergara Premier LRP Elite in 6.5CM when it came out in 2016 or early 2017 for long distance range action. The rifle has performed brilliantly using only factory Hornady 140 and 147 ELD match ammo thus far. I'm not a re-loader (yet). This rifle has consistently dinged the 1000 yard small 8" plate numerous times (the max. distance at my range).

Overall, I have no trouble producing 0.4" groups at 100 yds. with Hornady ammo. On a few occasions, I produced .25" - .3" groups at 200 yards. I credit the glass for that, no complaints with the NF ATACR. The action on this rifle is smooth as glass with tight lockup.

Otherwise, it's stock as it gets:
Mega Orias chassis
Magpul PRS stock
24" medium taper barrel with brake
NF ATACR 5x25x56 scope
Modified Harris bipod with spikes

Stay safe out there and happy shooting!
