Arm or ally has them STUPID cheap right now. Actions are like $450Finally got my Christmas Solus all put together in the red anodized chassis they were offering. 22” 6.5 manbun. Shoots 130hybrids into less than 1/2”. Not bad for a cheapy set up. 450-ish for the chassis and 700-ish for the barreled action. Shoulda bought more. Won’t make that mistake again if they get crazy with the deals.
I am planning on buying another one and making a lighter hunting rifle. I would recommend it. But I have never used a high end action. I hope to run it at a couple classes this year, and maybe a PRS match. I’m sure it will shoot better than what I can do.What's the verdict on the Solus action?
It's pretty much the only somewhat affordable custom platform here in Norway.
Your brake seems to be mounted upside down.My new stick. 6.5 Creedmoor Howa barreled action from Brownell's. MDT XRS chassis, Burrix XTR II 5-25. Pretty basic build compared to much here, but I'm enjoying it. Only put a total of 20 round down range, all barrel break-in, so cleaning after each one. Doesn't help that the shooter hasn't put a round down range in several years, and it was a windy, gusty day. Looking to see what it can really do on a calm day, then stretch her legs a bit.

Good pickup, thanks. Looks like I'll have to mess with some crush washers and see if I can time it properly. May go ahead and pick up a different one, I happened to have this Seekins one on hand.Your brake seems to be mounted upside down.
Not a fan of brakes designed to combat muzzle rise, as they can make the gun jump with a bipod.
Just picked up my dream rifle. Wanted it since I was 10 or so when I first played Hitman Blood Money. 15 years later, my dream showed up in Idaho Falls,ID.
Sako TRG-42 under Beretta Corp. 1:10 twist 338 Lapua with pic rail (getting rid of once I get the Spuhr dovetail mount in), factory bipod and MB is coming along with KRGs set up with NvG rail for my Atlas 5H.
What height rings are those?
Nice! Is the continental tracking ok? Considering that one for a 556 dmr.Front is defiance ruckus with a 20” proof 308, manners lrh stock, bix&andy prosport 2 stage, area 419 muzzle brake and arca rail, and mdt ckyepod. Running a vector continental 3-18, complete rifle is 9lbs 6oz
Furthest away is a lone peak fuzion with a 26” hawk hill 6gt barrel, trigger tech diamond 2 stage, manners prs2, area 419 brake, harris bipod, topped with a zco 4-20
Is that Manatee? I’ve been meaning to take a trip up thereSitting at 600 yards yesterday getting some practice with a new rifle. Aero solus in a Cadex lite competition chassis, TT diamond 2 stage, cheap Arken that will be upgraded eventually. Terrible lighting to show off the OD green color.
They are the NF low rings .885"What height rings are those?
Yes it is! I'm very fortunate to live within 20 mins and have been going every week now trying to qualify to use their 1000 yard rangeIs that Manatee? I’ve been meaning to take a trip up there
Thank you. I ended up ordering the Gray Ops scope mount at 1.125” high. I have the same scope and chassis so thought I would ask for reference. They are the NF low rings .885"
I had MDT low rings but they were a bit lower and the scope actually hit.
Id go with the 1" ones though as it'll allow a little more movement in the scope for mounting. with these there's basically only once position you can put the scope in.
Actually the 1000 yards has been open for a few months now. Qualification is 5 shots on an 8 inch plate at the 629 yard berm, and then a 6th follow up shot on a 600 yard target they placed next to the 1000 yards targets. They have hit markers as well at 1000The bench rest range is 600, but the 1000 yard range died like 5 years ago. ROs are solid in my experience though. Maybe I’ll see you up there soon
That’s an ok rifle, but a swanky ride lolAnd my 6BR, McMillan A5 stock, ARC Nucleus action, Criterion barrel, Bix & Andy tac sport pro trigger, vortex razor hd2 4.5-27X56
Nice. Is this your side-chick on your AI? Or did you dump the AI for this?
The AI is still here, just cheating on her a little bit. (I’ll never get rid of it lol)Nice. Is this your side-chick on your AI? Or did you dump the AI for this?
I really like my Bravo Gen 2.
And what caliber and barrel contour? (If keeping with the above theme, how big are her tits? Lol)

That Solus has definitely taken inspiration from the CDG and Sako/Tikka before that. I'd buy one if I needed another. Finally got my Christmas Solus all put together in the red anodized chassis they were offering. 22” 6.5 manbun. Shoots 130hybrids into less than 1/2”. Not bad for a cheapy set up. 450-ish for the chassis and 700-ish for the barreled action. Shoulda bought more. Won’t make that mistake again if they get crazy with the deals.
My MVP LR. Also in 5.56NATO. It and I are a 'work in progress'.I have the Mossberg MVP in 5.56 in the MDT chassis as well. All three groups pictured below were shot with old IMI 55 grain soft point ammunition.
Two things made those groups possible. The first was adding the suppressor. The second thing I did was take a file to the feed ramp.
The dumbest thing that Mossberg ever did with this rifle was use a single feed ramp on a rifle that will take AR-15 magazines that feed rounds from both sides.
So I took a file (and my time) and modified the feed ramp to emulate an AR-15 feed ramp. Then voilà, the bolt stopped binding and the bullet tips didn't get buggered up on their way to the chamber.
I'm thinking about getting a Timney trigger for this rifle but with those groups, I doubt that I really need
Lemme slap an ATACR on mine and we will have damn near twins!Gents,
Here's a picture of my "go to" rifle. A G.A. Precision "Rock" in .308. It's a keeper and makes me look good...even when I'm not.
